Dr Anthony Pisaniello

Peninsula Heart Centre is delighted to introduce Dr Anthony Pisaniello to our team of Cardiologists, having relocated from South Australia to settle on the Mornington Peninsula. His likeminded philosophy and complementary skillset allows us to continue to provide a timely health care service and expert patient care to the local community.

Anthony graduated with distinction from the University of Adelaide Medical School in 2006 and after completing cardiology subspecialty training at The Royal Adelaide Hospital, he commenced his PhD studies at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute. His research investigated the impact of omega-3 fatty acids in fish oil on atherosclerotic plaque for which he was recognised as a 2020 American College of Cardiology Young Investigator Award finalist.

Anthony is proficient in CT coronary angiogram reporting with level A accreditation. CTCA forms an integral part of his preliminary cardiac testing along with stress tests and stress echo ensuring that his patients are appropriately and thoroughly evaluated prior to invasive cardiac procedures. He is passionate about preventative medicine and working with the GP population to ensure continuity and comprehensive care.

Living locally, Anthony will be available within the Mornington area and its surrounds, offering daily appointments for general and more complex cardiology conditions. He offers inpatient services, (peri-operative management, (coronary angiography/stenting) at Peninsula Private Hospital, Beleura Private Hospital and The Bays Hospital.

Anthony is accompanied by his wife, Dr Jessica Pisaniello, an accomplished Rheumatologist who will join the team at Peninsula Rheumatology, his eldest daughter Miranda, who is excited to begin her studies at Toorak College and his youngest daughter Naomi.

Together with his family, Anthony looks forward to being a valuable member of the Mornington Peninsula community.
